As an integral part of the Panamania events, Beaches International Jazz Festival offered a vocal jazz workshop this week, on the topic of   Stylizing: Jazz versus Cabaret singing.  This informative, hands on workshop was led by Diane Leah & Heather Bambrick who are 2 of the 3 members of the cabaret group BROADSWAY. Heather Bambrick is a 91.1 FM broadcaster, and talented jazz vocalist in her own right!  It was awesome!  Singers asked questions and then were given the opportunity to try out their new learning with Diane Leah on the piano and Heather B. leading the ‘master class’… and it was FREE!  Great time!  Thanks to Heather & Diane!

Earlier in the month, HJC Singers through the sponsorship of  Choirs Ontario funding, attended the weekend Vocal Arts festival, “Sing”… with performances & workshops by Rajaton, The Real Group, Counter Measure and other fabulous vocal a cappella groups!
